I don't know what happened to these pictures...SCARY! These are two pumpkins that Brian and Emerson carved. :)
I could not get both boys to look at the camera for the life of me. At least their cute little Halloween baskets were looking!
He loves the grass...or what's left of it!
Emerson has had this precious pumpkin basket since he was 2 months old. I actually took a picture of him INSIDE the pumpkin when he was 8 weeks old!
Grammy bought them the pumpkin and spider baskets!
I tried taking a few inside...not much better! But, I do love Langston's arm around Emerson.
This is the cutest thing...it is a turtle with a pumpkin shell! (thanks Grammy:)
On our way to Target today, we stopped by another pumpkin patch. Emerson has been admiring these pumpkins every time we drive by. It is a church near our house. We bought our 5th, 6th, and 7th pumpkin of the season...oh my! My boy is pumpkin obsessed! He needed "just one more to carve with Daddy"! And look at this picture...when Langston wasn't trying to eat the hay on his own, Emerson was trying to feed it to him!
While we were at the pumpkin patch, a lady asked how old my daughter was. This is the fourth time Langston has been mistaken for a girl. I promise I don't dress him in flowers! He is wearing a Halloween shirt with spiders on it! That only happened once with Emerson.
Emerson found a nice round pumpkin and two small ones...(they had wagons there for you to use...Emerson loved pulling his pumpkins in the wagon)
I was a teacher before I became a full-time stay at home mom. It was very difficult finding a name for my first little boy that I didn't associate with a child I knew from school. So, Brian and I went for a unique name...Emerson, a name that I have always adored. In thinking about his name, I realized it was the last name of a great American poet - Ralph Waldo Emerson. I Googled "Great American Poets" in searching for my second little one's name. We fell in love with the name Langston- when the search turned up- Langston Hughes. Now my boys have very intellectual names...and a good story to go with them!
Hi, I'm Misty! I am a Texas girl at heart, born and raised here. There isn't another state that I would rather be. My husband is from Pennsylvania. Brian and I met while I was in college. His career brought him to Texas, and I'm so blessed it did. He is the love of my life. We were married in July 2004. I taught second grade for 5 years and worked as a gifted and talented specialist teaching K-4 for one year before I became a stay at home mom. We have two boys. Emerson is 5 and Langston is 3. I love being at home with my boys, but it is a challenging job! Actually being a mom is probably the most challenging thing I've done in my life, but the rewards are great. Langston keeps us on our toes from the time we wake up until we go to sleep. Brian and I as a team manage his life-threatening food allergies to milk, egg, fish and shellfish. He outgrew his peanut allergy! Thank you, Jesus! We pray every day that he will outgrow at least a few more of them! Our boys fill our hearts and lives with joy that just can't be put into words. I thank God for Brian, Emerson, and Langston! I'm truly blessed!
