More Randomness

 It hailed over here one afternoon...the boys had a grand ole time collecting it. :)

 This is what most mornings look like at our house...after all my degree is in education...I shouldn't totally put it on the back burner...right?

 Sports cards are Emerson's LOVE language.  He loves baseball, football, and basketball cards.  I mean he is obsessed!  He loves to buy his own cards with piggy bank money and loves to receive cards as gifts and as rewards for good behavior.  We also take cards away for discipline means.  It is really effective!  He and his dad look through each pack and "take out the good ones" and put them in binders for safe keeping.

This and That

 This post is for all of you who are tired of hearing about our trip to San Francisco!  :)

 All of my boys love zucchini now!  Yay!  (Thanks to Amanda's garden:)

 Langston eating a honey bun! :)  Thanks to Grammy, he has a safe donut alternative.

 I took my little man on a date to McDonald's.  This is such a treat. (for both of us...haha)  We NEVER eat out because of Langston's food allergies.  No fast food for us...we don't have the luxury of just grabbing something quick to eat.  Our quick meal is something that I put in the oven.  I have to plan ahead for road trips.  I pack every meal and take it with us if we will be on the road...oh the life of having a food allergic child.

 We enjoyed every minute of McDonald's. :)  Playtime and all...

 If it isn't raining outside...this is what the boys LOVE to do.

 It's especially fun if the neighbors come over.

 I enjoyed watching both my nephews perform in their VBS show. Travis had a leading role. :)

I Left My Heart in...

 This picture was taken on a street car.  This particular journey covered all forms of public transportation.  :)  We first took a cable car, then jumped on the street car, from there we got on a shady city bus- to take us to another interesting, culturally diverse part of San Francisco known as Haight-Ashbury. :)  It is known for the hippie movement of the 1960s.  Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin all called this neighborhood home at one time. There are still many stores that cater to this culture and group in this area.  It is also the location of many beautiful Victorian houses.

 We took a little coffee and cookie break at "Bean There".

 These are the "painted ladies" in front of Alamo Square Park.  Many people think Full House was filmed here, but I did my research.  In the intro of the television show, there is a clip of them at this park in front of these houses.  Yes, the show was set in San Francisco, but it was actually filmed in a studio in Los Angeles.:)

 But, they were gorgeous houses.

 We got tired of waiting on a yellow cab, so our guys got us in a quicker ride...a limo. :)  It worked out well though because this particular driver ended up taking us to the airport as well the next day.  (it wasn't a stretched limo, but a very fancy car compared to the yellow cabs.)

 This was Ghirardelli Square.  You know the chocolate?  Yum.

 Darryl spotted this restaurant on the first day we were in San Fran, and he wasn't leaving without trying it out....Once again, pregnant lady wasn't having it nor her sister....so Amanda and I went for a second visit to the Michelangelo Cafe that was so yummy from our first day.

 We finished first, so we met them back at Tuk Tuk Thai to see what they were eating.  Yeah, it was gross. They claimed it was good.  They even had Thai beer called Chang. :) 

 The next morning, we packed up and said good-bye to "our apartment".

Maybe one day I will be back...since I left my heart in San Francisco. :)

Thank you Amanda and Darryl for making such fun memories with us.  I will certainly always remember this trip!
