"Flat Noah" Visits Texas!

Brian's friends in Pennsylvania asked our family to help their son with a school project. Flat Stanley is a book that is frequently used with elementary aged students. I remember reading it to my classes, too! So, this was especially fun for me! So, Noah created a "Flat Noah" and sent it to Texas to go on adventures with our family! The idea is to send the paper doll as far away as possible. Then, you take pictures of the adventures and report back in some way. You return the paper doll along with pictures, etc. This was our little book we put together. I found a Texas sticker and also a Pennsylvania sticker, but I forgot to take pictures of that one! :)

*****************************

The Straley family was excited to receive Flat Noah in the mail! We first took Flat Noah to the train station in Tomball, Texas.

Notice the Texas flag above Noah's head!

This is Emerson holding Flat Noah. Tomball is a small town outside of Houston.

Flat Noah saw a train going by.

He saw a statue of Thomas Ball, the founder of the town.

Flat Noah also saw a puppy dog statue. He took a picture with Emerson and Langston.

Next, he saw a red caboose!

Look closely, and you can see Flat Noah behind the steering wheel!

Then, the Straley family took Flat Noah to their house to play in the sandbox.

He played on the swing set with Emerson and Langston. He even went down the slide!

The last thing Flat Noah did was jump in the ball pit! He had so much fun!

It was time for the Straley family to send Flat Noah back to Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. We all waved good-bye! We will miss you Flat Noah! :)

Randomness...

Langston chillin' in his Penn State chair! He loves to sit in big chairs.

Emerson and Cora playing with a train set.

Langston keeping our yard nice...he is just like Emerson-loves lawn equipment!

In another chair...

They love this tunnel. :)

Cora drives Emerson AND Langston around in her Cadillac!

Emerson is really into this train set. It is Fisher Price GeoTrax. Emerson along with Brian build a new train nearly every night. It keeps getting bigger and better! He is having so much fun with this. Thank you Trevor and Travis for giving this to Emerson! :) We are getting everything from toys to clothes from my brother's boys, and we are LOVING it!

Even Langston plays and doesn't do too much damage to the track! :)

Child labor...but hey they like to do it!

My Dad and his four grandsons!

Langston checking out my brother's HUGE dog- Cowboy!

Playing in the sprinkler...

Back to the tunnel...

And the Spiderman house...

We visited my Grandmother a few weeks ago.

She has one little box of cars that my brother probably played with as a child. They boys still love it!

Langston showed off his new skills. This boy didn't start walking until 13 months. I think it is because he gets held and carried a lot. He is really living up to being "the baby"!

Pretty random- sorry! Until next time...
