Summertime Happenings...

The Mall
I know I've mentioned before, my boys have a love for carousels. So, I needed to pick up a few things at the mall, and I used the carousel as a bribe. :)

This was the first time Langston rode on an animal. Until this time, I only sat with him in the sleigh seats.
Emerson and Mimi

Mimi's House

My mom is doing a little song with the boys that ends in "boo". The boys LOVE it so much and laugh sooo hard.

The Houston Symphony

My mom and I took Emerson to a Houston Symphony performance. Emerson IS SO INTERESTED in musical instruments right now! He knows many instruments by name, pretends to play instruments all the time, anytime he notices an instrument on television or in a book, he points it out, etc.! When he is listening to songs, he will often say, "Mom, do you hear those drums? Mom, do you here the guitar?" He is really fascinated with trombones right now, too!

Before the performance, they had an area for kids to try out different instruments!

The only thing that didn't work too well was it was an 8:00 pm performance...and that is pretty much his bedtime. He enjoyed it so much that he lasted pretty much to the end. We missed the last two songs.

Dance Recital

Emerson and I went to our neighbor's dance recital. He was looking forward to seeing Cora dance for a long time! It was so sweet...I bought these flowers for him to give to her. We ended up not catching up with her after the recital, so he gave her the flowers the next morning! :)

They are great friends. Cora is 5th from the left
