Last Tuesday, was a beautiful day. We were invited to celebrate Aunt Melissa's LAST cancer treatment. She finished her chemo about two months ago, and this was her last radiation treatment. We thank God for her precious life and for her healing. :)
The boys were excited to be there. They have been along for her entire journey with breast cancer. Never once did it bother them that she lost her hair, and they prayed EVERY SINGLE night for Aunt Melissa, especially Emerson. Their buttons say "Pink for Melissa". (Thanks, Grammy :)
Hanging out waiting for the good news!
After she finished, she rang the bell to signify it was her last treatment and she was on her way to her cancer free life!
Wow- such a victory!
It was an emotional day for all.
My sweet brother...
This is the awesome team that cared for her.
My mom and I have the same shirt on. Her shirt says, "I Wear Pink for My Daughter-in-Law", and my shirt says, "I Wear Pink for My Sister-in-Law".
That is her oncologist in the stripes. So thankful for all the professionals knowledge!
Melissa told us that this nurse helped with her brain cancer treatment as well. So it was neat for her to have her again.
Lots of tight hugs!
I love this...she is about to high five her oncologist and both have their eyes closed.
My turn for hugs...
Melissa and her mom
Bible study friends :)
We love you Melissa, and we are so proud of your strength, courage, and faith.
