This past week, Emerson and I took a road trip to see my sister and brother-in-law. I couldn't brave the trip with just the two of us, so my wonderful mom came along with us. We had a great time. Amanda lives west of Ft. Worth in
Poolville, Texas. You are probably thinking, "I've never heard of that place before." That is most likely true. It is a VERY, VERY small town. She cracks me up with all of her animals. She lives in a beautiful home on ten acres with MANY animals. She has goats,
barbados (cross between a goat and a sheep), donkeys, and cats. She recently sold her longhorns. Here is very pregnant Amanda feeding the animals. Her sweet baby girl is due in ONE month! We are so anxious to see her beautiful face.

Here are Manda's boys....

Look at their furry winter coat!

Emerson had to feed them a thousand times- of course!

The ram...

Her cute boy kitty

Here is girl kitty...she has another one too. He wasn't around when I was there.

This is one of her
barbados with her one week old baby...

One of her cute girls...Emerson loves to pet and feed her from his hand.

Listen to this cool story. While we were at Amanda's, another one of her
barbados had TWINS! They were only a few hours old when these pictures were taken. Darryl (Amanda's husband) was in a meeting that morning, so she had to call her brother-in-law and a friend to come over and chase down the momma and her two babies. She had to get them into her fenced backyard pretty quickly so that the donkeys didn't hurt the babies. Now when I say chase them down, I mean it literally. It was pretty entertaining watching these two guys chase down the momma over the entire pasture while her ram was charging at them!

Amanda was holding the girl, and I was holding the boy!

They were precious on their skinny little legs...

This is inside sweet baby girl's crib...Amanda and I worked on organizing her room.
I'm so impressed with Amanda's painting on the ceiling. It is just precious. Her baby is going to love it! Emerson really enjoyed looking at it. He was saying "cow" and "moon". She drew a scene from the wallpaper and Darryl painted it.

Changing table...she will spend a lot of time here...

Another view of the room- It is a beautiful lavender.

Oh how she will enjoy her glider-

Amanda- we are so ready to meet your precious baby girl! Emerson can't wait for the birth of his newest cousin...
