We took the boys to Venice beach! It was a beautiful day, but a little cold! We cannot wait to go back to the beach when we return to Florida in the summer time. Langston L-O-V-E-D digging in the sand, and Emerson loved everything about the beach...
He loved collecting seashells.
Precious!
Grammy and her boys...well two of them!
Me and my boy!
Emerson has been making me so sad lately. He just seems all grown up to me.
Pure bliss!
Emerson was so worried that Langston was going to crawl towards the water.
This makes my heart happy!
This too!
And this one!
I guess I can't leave this one out! :)
So sweet!
Love these footprints in the sand...
We ate lunch at this restaurant called Sharky's!
They were so TIRED when we left!
Emerson wouldn't put the bucket of seashells down!

You should frame the one of the whole family with the water behind you! So cute!
I was a teacher before I became a full-time stay at home mom. It was very difficult finding a name for my first little boy that I didn't associate with a child I knew from school. So, Brian and I went for a unique name...Emerson, a name that I have always adored. In thinking about his name, I realized it was the last name of a great American poet - Ralph Waldo Emerson. I Googled "Great American Poets" in searching for my second little one's name. We fell in love with the name Langston- when the search turned up- Langston Hughes. Now my boys have very intellectual names...and a good story to go with them!
Hi, I'm Misty! I am a Texas girl at heart, born and raised here. There isn't another state that I would rather be. My husband is from Pennsylvania. Brian and I met while I was in college. His career brought him to Texas, and I'm so blessed it did. He is the love of my life. We were married in July 2004. I taught second grade for 5 years and worked as a gifted and talented specialist teaching K-4 for one year before I became a stay at home mom. We have two boys. Emerson is 5 and Langston is 3. I love being at home with my boys, but it is a challenging job! Actually being a mom is probably the most challenging thing I've done in my life, but the rewards are great. Langston keeps us on our toes from the time we wake up until we go to sleep. Brian and I as a team manage his life-threatening food allergies to milk, egg, fish and shellfish. He outgrew his peanut allergy! Thank you, Jesus! We pray every day that he will outgrow at least a few more of them! Our boys fill our hearts and lives with joy that just can't be put into words. I thank God for Brian, Emerson, and Langston! I'm truly blessed!
