San Francisco has been on the top of our vacation list for a long time! We were finally able to mark it off our list a few weeks ago. Let me first start by saying thank you to my mother-in-law and her sister. They flew in from Florida to take care of my boys. Also, thank you so much to my Mom for keeping Peyton so we could enjoy this vacation with two of our most favorite people in the entire world! :)
So we handed over our kids and headed to San Francisco! This was a big deal for us. We haven't left Langston for more than a few hours at a time since he was born. (mainly because of the huge responsibility of his allergies.) It is a lot to ask of anyone, even grandparents. Plus, it is very SCARY for this momma.
We had a hotel booked, but soon cancelled it when we found this charming apartment available for vacation rental! If you want to check it out more click HERE !
We were starving when we arrived, so our first visit was a very authentic Italian cafe called Michelangelo's. This is my sissy Amanda and her sweet hubby, Darryl.
We walked around a bit getting a feel for the city and where "our" apartment was. We even stopped at a market for a few groceries.
We cleaned up and called a cab.
The house was full of neat antiques and original artwork.
We had reservations at an awesome restaurant on Ocean Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was beautiful. We had an evening reservation and watched the sun go down. (Thank you to our friends, the Russells who recommended this restaurant. :) They honeymooned in San Fran!)
I've always wanted to see the rocky Pacific coast, and my wish was fullfilled!
The force of the water was amazing.
Darryl was trying a port for the first time. It was a yummy dessert wine.
Breathtaking...
I found this skinny cowboy on the way out!
When we returned, I explored the house a little more. :)
Amanda checking out information left by the owners.
Stay tuned for our next adventure!
