We got on a tour bus and made our way across the Golden Gate to Muir Woods National Monument to see the amazing redwood trees. We never got a clear view of the famous Golden Gate Bridge the entire time we were there due to the fog. We did drive over it several times which was neat. One time, Brian was the actual driver when we had our rental car...:)
Oh my goodness, just picture the swirliest, twirliest roads...that's what you have to take to get here! Darryl had to take his motion sickness medicine. Our driver even suggested taking something if you were prone to car or motion sickness! But, we all agreed the crazy drive is well worth the visit to the park. I was just in awe. There was just an indescribable peace and calmness among the trees in the forest. The temperature and smell didn't compare to anything I've ever experienced before. It was just simply a beautiful, beautiful place. Something about it was almost magical.
Amanda and I kept calling these two the "dynamic duo"! They are SO different from one another, but they get along so well. We are thankful that our husbands have a sweet, brotherly relationship.
Amanda and sweet baby girl...
I had to totally satisfy all my senses...the texture was almost a soft feel. :)
Our tour guide...ha, ha!
I was standing up on part of the tree! Amanda is actually taller than me!
We all agreed that we could have stayed here for a lot longer than our tour allowed.
I can't believe I don't have any pictures from our next stop. We explored a neat little place called Sausalito before returning to San Francisco. We had some yummy ice cream there and did a little shopping. Amanda and I bought some beautiful scarves.
I could see Amanda sleeping in the driver's rear view mirror. Her mouth was open...that's what I was trying to catch. :) Hee hee! She did such a great job keeping up with us being pregnant.
Up next...randomness from San Fran! :)
