Langston chillin' in his Penn State chair! He loves to sit in big chairs.

Langston keeping our yard nice...he is just like Emerson-loves lawn equipment!
In another chair...
They love this tunnel. :)
Cora drives Emerson AND Langston around in her Cadillac!
Emerson is really into this train set. It is Fisher Price GeoTrax. Emerson along with Brian build a new train nearly every night. It keeps getting bigger and better! He is having so much fun with this. Thank you Trevor and Travis for giving this to Emerson! :) We are getting everything from toys to clothes from my brother's boys, and we are LOVING it!
Even Langston plays and doesn't do too much damage to the track! :)
Child labor...but hey they like to do it!
My Dad and his four grandsons!
Langston checking out my brother's HUGE dog- Cowboy!
Playing in the sprinkler...
Back to the tunnel...
And the Spiderman house...
We visited my Grandmother a few weeks ago.
She has one little box of cars that my brother probably played with as a child. They boys still love it!
Langston showed off his new skills. This boy didn't start walking until 13 months. I think it is because he gets held and carried a lot. He is really living up to being "the baby"!
I was a teacher before I became a full-time stay at home mom. It was very difficult finding a name for my first little boy that I didn't associate with a child I knew from school. So, Brian and I went for a unique name...Emerson, a name that I have always adored. In thinking about his name, I realized it was the last name of a great American poet - Ralph Waldo Emerson. I Googled "Great American Poets" in searching for my second little one's name. We fell in love with the name Langston- when the search turned up- Langston Hughes. Now my boys have very intellectual names...and a good story to go with them!
Hi, I'm Misty! I am a Texas girl at heart, born and raised here. There isn't another state that I would rather be. My husband is from Pennsylvania. Brian and I met while I was in college. His career brought him to Texas, and I'm so blessed it did. He is the love of my life. We were married in July 2004. I taught second grade for 5 years and worked as a gifted and talented specialist teaching K-4 for one year before I became a stay at home mom. We have two boys. Emerson is 5 and Langston is 3. I love being at home with my boys, but it is a challenging job! Actually being a mom is probably the most challenging thing I've done in my life, but the rewards are great. Langston keeps us on our toes from the time we wake up until we go to sleep. Brian and I as a team manage his life-threatening food allergies to milk, egg, fish and shellfish. He outgrew his peanut allergy! Thank you, Jesus! We pray every day that he will outgrow at least a few more of them! Our boys fill our hearts and lives with joy that just can't be put into words. I thank God for Brian, Emerson, and Langston! I'm truly blessed!
